I have a love/hate relationship with CJ going to school.
I love it because it gets him out of the house, expands his horizons and teaches him things.
I hate it because it expands his horizons in ways I forgot LOL
Examples:
In Kindergarten, it was like a month or so in may son came home telling me he knew how babies are made. My inquisitive self asked him how. His response? "A man and a woman get married, kiss, fall down on a bed, dance and then the mom says 'uhhhh' and has a baby!"
Probably a week later, CJ asked me about murder. Yes, murder. In Kindergarten. I asked him why he wanted to know and it was because one of his female friends was told she was going to get murdered by one of the older kids on the playground. I know, right.
I pulled him from that school about 2 months later.
This year?
This one has been the funny expansion of his horizons.
"Mom, you're a penis head!" My response, I tried not to laugh while explaining to him that that was not a nice thing to say. I mean, we were in Target, in the candy row surrounded my little kids and their mothers. Once in the car, he learned the meaning of what he said then blamed Thomas the Train for his potty mouth.
Last week, he woke me up by calling me a "wiener head". We had the "penis" talk again. Hahaha....how embarrassing right? This is why I need a dude around. To teach him about this stuff...anyway, I told him not to use that word again. When I picked him up from day camp later that day, he comes running to me from across the gym screaming "I didn't call anyone a wiener today!"
I have definitely started being more conscience about what comes out of my mouth around him!

aww your son sounds like a lil comedian! hopefully hell learn about the no nos of those words haha, im following :-)
ReplyDeleteHahahaha OMG, that's great. "The mom goes Uhhhhh and has a baby" haven't heard that one before. What a riot.

ReplyDeleteI hope he doesnt come home with anymore of those questions but with him being a little dude & all, I say expect to hear the word wiener more haha.
